Choosing the Right Notebooks for Schools and Institutions
Choosing notebooks for school supply involves more than price. Here’s what to consider for reliable, everyday use.
Paper quality and GSM
Higher GSM (grams per square metre) usually means thicker, less see-through paper. For daily writing and erasing, 60–70 GSM is a good balance: durable enough for pens and pencils without making books too heavy.
Binding
Stitched binding holds up better than stapled or glued binding over a full academic year. It allows books to lie flat and withstand frequent opening and closing.
Page count and ruling
Match page count to use: single-line ruling for general classwork, blank or squared for maths and drawing. Consistent ruling across a batch helps students and teachers.
Bulk orders
When ordering in bulk, request a sample first. Check paper texture, ruling clarity, and binding. Agree on lead times and minimum quantities with your supplier so you can plan term-wise.
